Mr. Thomas Dewey Harper, 80, of Anderson, Missouri departed this life on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at his home.

Thomas entered this life on October 5, 1940 in Wellington, Kansas, born to the late, Ermon and Ruby (Slaven) Harper. He was united in marriage to Jane Louise McKinney on October 23, 1967 in Goodman, Missouri. Thomas worked as a ranch hand for nine years, he and his family formed a Trucking Company in 1964 until 1982; he worked for O’Brien farms; at Hardware Village Home Center in Bella Vista, Arkansas; American Family Homes and for Simmon Foods. Thomas enjoyed hunting; going to Mud Runs with his children. He was happiest on a tractor and taking care of his farm. Thomas was a lifetime member of the Lanagan United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Tara Graves on December 13, 2006.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Harper of the home; sons, Boone Harper of Anderson, Missouri, Kody Harper and wife, Sherry of Pineville, Missouri; brother, Ermon Henry Harper, Jr. of Neosho, Missouri; sister, Dora Jane Latty of Anderson, Missouri; brother, Gary Harper of Lanagan, Missouri; two children from a previous marriage, Terri McGuffey of Neosho, Missouri and Tom Hottinger of Anderson, Missouri; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Pastor Marilyn O’Brien will officiate. Final resting place for Thomas will be in the Lanagan Cemetery in Lanagan, Missouri
