Charles A. Vogel of Beaman Street, who has been ill since January 1914, died Monday morning, March 15, 1915 at 9:45 o’clock. Mr. Vogel was born in the Town of Granville, N. Y., July 29, 1863, but of late years made his residence in Poultney, where up to the time of his illness, he was employed as a miller. Stricken as he was with an illness, that ended in his death; he nevertheless bore his burden nobly, and even to the end was more thoughtful of those caring for him than for himself.
The immediate relatives left by Mr. Vogel are his wife Mrs. Hattie Vogel; three sons, James A., C. [Charles] Edward and Fred F. Vogel; and one daughter, Mrs. Anna Vogel Person. Mr. Vogel also leaves four brothers, Philip Vogel and Christopher Vogel of North Granville, N. Y. ; Henry Vogel of Middle Granville, N.Y. and John Vogel of Fort Ann, N. Y.
Rev. J. B. Horton,of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Poultney, officiated. The burial took place in the Poultry Cemetery.
