Jarvis is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Julia Ann Bailey and sister in law, Madge Black.
Jarvis was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the Army and Army Reserves for a total of four years. Jarvis enjoyed hunting, fishing and horses.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joy Lewis; children, Carol Anders, Chris Lewis (Kelly), Paul Lewis and Stacey Lewis (Teresa); six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one sister, Shirley Lewis.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM, Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, November 18, 2020 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Jolley Cemetery under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.
