Francisca T. Martinez, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 in Pearland, Texas. She was born on June 4, 1935 to parents, Flora and Antonio Tovar in Kenedy, Texas. She was an amazing Mother, Spouse, Sister, Grandmother and Friend and a true blessing from God.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Armando Martinez Jr. and wife Nohemi, David Martinez and wife Dora; three grandchildren, Christina Canales and husband Dominic, David Ryan Martinez and Miranda Martinez; eight sisters, Lupe Cantu, Alejandra Rocha, Viola Cortez and husband Joe, Julia Perez, Josie Sutton and husband Robert, Antonia Godard, Flora Godard and husband Richard, Rosemary Alwell and husband Roger; two brothers, Elias Tovar, Cruz Tovar and wife Gloria; as well as a host of friends and other family members.
Francisca was preceded in death by her loving husband of 27 years Armando Martinez; parents, Flora (Guerrero) Tovar and Antonio Tovar; two sisters, Saveriana Davila, Sabas Gonzalez; two brothers, Felix Tovar and Simon Tovar.
The family will receive friends for a Visitation on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM; a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd, Pearland, TX 77581; followed by a burial at SouthPark Cemetery, 1310 N. Main St., Pearland, Texas 77581.
