Betty Myrick, age 89, was born in Houston, Texas entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 13, 2020.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Johnny Wade Myrick and her parents, Clarence and Cornelia "Neely" Brown.

Left to cherish her memory is son, Dr. Terry W. Myrick and wife Stephanie; grandchildren, Jason W, Myrick and wife Courtney, SPC Zachary T. Myrick, Cole M. Myrick; great- grandchildren Cadien, Killian and Emerson Myrick; cousin Karolyn Griffin; brothers-in-law George Myrick and Ronnie Stallings, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She attended Austin High School and lived in Houston most of her life, until moving to Beaumont in 1998 to be closer to her son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed time with her family and neighbors. She was an artist enjoying oil painting and photography and working as a professional photographer for years.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jason Myrick, Zachary Myrick, Cole Myrick, George Myrick, Bob Schnuriger, Jim Goldmeyer, John Myrick, Capt. Mark Griffin, Greg Griffin and Col. Kirt Stalling.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Celi, Josephine, Bobet, Chrissen, Rowena and Chari for the wonderful compassion and care they showed to Betty.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Houston and the SE Chapters.

A graveside service for Betty will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
