"Jean P. Leaman, 56, of Cochranville R1, died Saturday at 1:45 a.m. at her home after an illness of two months. She was the wife of the late John R. Leaman, who died Nov 23, 1985. Born in Cochranville, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. and Martha Ann Knott Pinkerton.

She was an active member of the Cochranville United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of United Methodist Women and the choir.

A homemaker, she was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cochranville Fire Company, and was active in the company's carnivals. She was also active in the blood drive with the American Red Cross. She was a graduate of Cochranville High School.

She is survived by a son, J. Robert Leaman, Peach Bottom; five daughters; Brenda J., wife of Carl Rzucidlo, Cochranvile; Bonnie, wife of Wiliam K, Harper, Gap; Barbara L., wife of Stuart R. Constable, Roamansville; Robin E. Leaman, at home, and Tracy E. Leaman, Alden and eight grandchildren.

She is also survived by six brothers; J. Wesley Pinkerton and George W. Pinkerton, both of Beaver Falls; James K. Pinkerton, Coopersburg; Paul E. Pinkerton, Lititz; and Herbert W. Pinkerton and Everett Pinkerton, both of California, MD., and four sisters; Grace E., wife of Charles A. Cauller, Christiana; Erma P. Baily, Coatesville; Alice, wife of Harry Nickel, Christiana, and Doris, wife of Lloyd McHenry, Cochranville."
