Betty L. Thomas Morrison, 91 years of age, departed this life on Saturday morning, November 14th, 2020 with her children by her side.
Betty was born in Wayne County, Indiana on February 19th, 1929, daughter of the late Preston and Elizabeth Thomas. Betty was a graduate of Whitewater High School. Betty enjoyed a long career as a secretary. She started out at AVCO and later worked at the Social Security Office before finishing her career with WorkOne. Betty enjoyed serving the public in her professional career but what gave her the most joy was her family.
Betty was survived by two daughters, Sharon (and David) Miller and Angela (and Kevin) Cox; one son, Tom (and Darlene) Morrison; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Preston Thomas and Elizabeth Thomas; one son, Michael Morrison; an infant daughter, Jennifer Johnson; one granddaughter, Amy Burns Schweizer; one grandson, Jared Morrison; one sister, Evelyn Phenis; and one brother, Jerry Thomas.
In accordance with Betty’s wishes the family has chosen cremation as final disposition with the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home in Fountain City, Indiana in charge of the arrangements.
