Kimberly Briggs, 40, of White Lake, SD died Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Plankinton. Burial will be in Mizpah Cemetery in Plankinton. Visitation will be from 4-6:00 PM Tuesday at the church with a 6:00 PM Scripture Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial are preferred. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

After a battle with an auto immune disease, Kimberly Ann Van Gorp Briggs entered into the Heavenly Kingdom on November 12, 2020. Kimberly was born on March 16, 1980 to Doug and Londa Van Gorp. She graduated from Stickney High School in 1998. Kimberly married the love of her life, Roman Briggs on June 22, 2013.

Kimberly’s culinary skills were well known throughout the area as she prepared food for many local establishments. Currently, she was employed at FSA in Aurora County. She enjoyed working with Roman in their wood working shop along with Willow and Luna, their canine companions.

Kimberly leaves behind her beloved husband, Roman of White Lake; parents: Doug and Cheri Van Gorp of Stickney and Londa Cordrey of Corsica; 2 brothers: Jeremy and Crystal Van Gorp of Creston Ia., and Ray Gene Cordrey of Corsica; parents-in-law: Ron and Collette Briggs of Plankinton; brothers-in-law: Jeff and Natalie Briggs of Plankinton, and Nick and Autumn Briggs of Sault Sainte Marie, MI; nieces and nephews: Evelyn, Olivia, and Jaxson Van Gorp, Kaitlyn, Carter and Izzy Briggs.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ike and Irene Bosma, Gordon and Norma Van Gorp.
