Ann Alexander Shields, 81, of Asheboro died Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home.
Ann was born September 17, 1936 in Guilford County to Robert and Elizabeth Alexander.
She was a devoted Christian and member of Central United Methodist Church. Ann was retired from Clapp's Nursing Home. She loved spending time with her family and traveling with her husband John, especially to Myrtle Beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by John, her husband of 47 years and her brother Robert Bainbridge Alexander, Jr of Jacksonville, FL.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Susan S. Hotchkiss and husband Wayne of Charlottesville, VA and Patricia Shields of Archdale, NC.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
