He graduated from Ball State University in 1964 and worked as a commercial insurance adjuster. Lewis was an avid outdoorsman and was a nature lover, hiker and fisherman. He was a member of several hiking clubs and environmental organizations, including the Sierra Club and The Nature Conservancy. Lewis faithfully supported animal rescue and loved his dogs. He was also a member of the Corydon Moose Lodge and was a U. S. Army Reserve veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis W. “Tabe” Brown and Annis Green Brown Baxley.
Survivors include his brother, Donald J. Brown of Corydon; his niece, Nicole L. Saulman of Corydon; and his cousins, Carmen Cunningham of Louisville, Kentucky, Annette Green Grodecki of Akron, Ohio, and Linda Brown of Corydon.
There will be a memorial visitation from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
