Elizabeth was the daughter of David Ayers and Mary Ann Walter. She married Jonathan Ford on 13 January 1870 Cedar Co., Iowa. They were the parents of Mary, Velma, Della, Orville, Lowry, Otis, and Jay.

Contributed by Brad - Wilton, Iowa - Oct. 11, 1920 - Mrs. Elizabeth Ford, a pioneer resident of this vicinity, died at her home at 11 p.m. Sunday, following an operation underwent Thursday. Peritonitis caused her death. She was 66 years old.

Mrs. Ford, formerly Miss Elizabeth Ayres, was born May 10, 1851 at Barkleyville, Pa. She came to Iowa in 1854 with her parents and settled in Cedar county, north of Wilton. On Jan. 13, 1870, she married Jonathan Ford, who preceded her in death by thirty years. She moved to Wilton about eight years ago.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mary Shiflet and Mrs. Velma Krebs of Wilton, and Mrs. Della Ayres of Bennett, and four sons, Orville and Lowry Ford of Wilton, Otis Ford of Cedar county and Jay Ford of Sunbury. Two sisters, Mrs. William McCroskey of Wilton and Mrs. Amanda Kennison of Butte, Neb., and three brothers, L.M., Peter and Barkley Ayres, all of Wilton, also survive.

Funeral services will be held from the home at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. C.D. Loose of the Methodist Episcopal church will officiate. Burial will be made in the Moneka cemetery in cedar county.

FORD FUNERAL HELD FROM WILTON HOME - Wilton, Ia., Oct. 14 - Funeral services over the remains of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Ford, for 66 years a resident of this community, were held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. The Rev. C.D. Loose of the M.E. church of which the deceased was a member, conducted the services. Interment was made in the Cedar county cemetery.

The pallbearers were Lowry Ford, Orville Ford, Jay Ford, Otis Ford, Gail Ford and L.C. Krebs.

Relatives from a distance who attended the Ford funeral Wednesday were Rev. and Mrs. O.V. Kenniston of Butte, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. McKee of Stuart, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Gabriel of Columbus Junction, Mrs. Amos Ford of Grinnell, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Ford, Mr. and Mrs. John Blair and Mrs. Upton Ford of Tipton.
