George "Tom" Thomas Coleman, 84, of Hedgesville, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at his residence.
Born June 16, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Catherine “Kate” Reichard.
Tom was in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Hagerstown High School and a life member and volunteer of AMVETS Post 38 and American Legion # 42 Morris Rock.
He is survived by a son, John T. Coleman and wife, Colleen; a daughter, Catherine “Kitsy” Sprinkle and husband, John; grandchildren, Molly and John “Skip” Coleman, Tori Ernsting and husband, Yannick, Luke Sprinkle and Josh Sprinkle and wife, Carrie; a great grandchild, Grayson Sprinkle and his companion, Doris Lillard.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorcas D. Coleman.
The Brown Funeral Home will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 9, 2020. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, AMVETS Post 38, 186 Boat Dock Drive, Falling Waters, WV, 25419.
