Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at the Welch-Graham Cemetery in Ellisville for David Winfred McQueen, 69 of Collins, who passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2020, at his residence.

Brother Clay Williamson, Brother Everett Broome, and Brother Brent Long will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Welch-Graham Cemetery in Ellisville. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the County Line Missionary Baptist Church in Ellisville. The church will be adhering to the State's protocol regarding social distancing and the limiting of no more than ten people in the church at one time for the safety of the family and friends.

Mr. McQueen was born on January 22, 1951 in Laurel, Mississippi to the late James Winfred McQueen and Elsie Pickering McQueen. He graduated from Collins High School in 1969 and then served in the Air National Guard for six years. Mr. McQueen later furthered his education by earning an Associates of Arts degree from Jones County Junior College. He was a builder and a cattle and poultry farmer by trade. He owned and operated the David McQueen Poultry Farm and McQueen Family Poultry Farms. Mr. McQueen was a member of the County Line Missionary Baptist Church in Ellisville. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. McQueen was a sweet and humble Christian man and will be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Winfred McQueen and Elsie Pickering McQueen; a sister, Jerry Ann McQueen; his father-in-law, Webber Welch; and two brothers-in-law, Larry Welch and Lane Welch.

Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Cheryl Welch McQueen of Collins; three sons, Shannon McQueen, and his wife, Amie, Benjie McQueen, and Brandon McQueen, and his wife, Meagan, all of Collins; nine grandchildren, Tyler McQueen, Connor McQueen, Aubree McQueen, Brayden McQueen, Cayson McQueen, Camden McQueen, Cora McQueen, Brett Herrington, and Blane Herrington; two brothers, Joe McQueen, and his wife, Lana, and Ikey McQueen, and his wife, Alicia, all of Collins; two sisters, Karen McQueen of Collins, and Vicki McQueen of Wayne, Pennsylvania; his parents-in-law, Bonnard and Mae Bush of Ellisville; a sister-in-law, Monica Nobles, and her husband, Mark of Sumrall; and a host of nieces and nephews
