Clarence W. Benedict, 70, of Rochester, New York and Jacksonville, Florida, died in Jacksonville with his wife in an auto accident. He was a former resident of North Hollywood, California.
Mr. Benedict was a charter member of Rochester Newspaper Pressmen, A.F.L., Local 36.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. James B. (Florence) Snider, Mrs. Richard (Grace) Paddon of Rochester, and Mrs. Ernest (Vivian) Fose, of Buffalo, New York; one son, Robert Benedict; one sister, *Mrs. Chester Sarsfield, of Ithaca, New York; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are in charge of the Corbett Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West Avenue. Interment will be in Mt. Hope.
