Passed away Saturday morning Nov.17, 2012 at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County, age 83. Dale was born on April 11, 1929 in Chesaning. His parents were Edward and Ethel (Blakeslee) Potter.Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean era from 1951-1953. He was a 60 year member of the Chesaning American Legion. Dale worked for Farmer Peets as a salesman until they closed, he then worked for Hehr and retired from there. He loved to play golf. He was an avid Tigers and Lions fan. His wife Joyce (Gerding) passed away in Feb. of 1990.

Those left to mourn him include his 3 children: Jeanette Potter, Bruce Potter and Karen (Jack Jr.) Richter, all of Chesaning. 2 grand children. His sister; Dorris Tessin of Freeland and his brother Glen (Bonnie) Potter of Algonac.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday Nov.21, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Pastor Tim Woycik will officiate with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Chesaning Twp., with full military honors conducted by the Chesaning American Legion.
