She was born on May 15, 1927 in Lindenwood, the daughter of John F. and Mabel (Reints) Strang. She married Melvin Hoffman on Aug. 19, 1961 in Lindenwood; he preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 2010.
Margaret was a rural U.S. Postal Mail Carrier serving Lindenwood and Esmond for over 20 years.
She is preceded in death by two infant daughters, Cheri Dawn Baker and Cynthia Anne Hoffman; 10 sisters, Stella Baker, Cora Beck, Edna Beach, Fern Rittmeyer, Edith Hill, Marie Dunahoo, Ruth Harrolle, Grace Huntley, Vera McQueen and Iris Sturgill and four brothers, Clarence, Willard, Francis and Calvin Strang.
She is survived by her five children, John (Susan) Baker, Barbara (Roger) Falk, Gary (Sara) Baker, Curt (Heather) Baker and David Hoffman; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Private Immediate family funeral will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Matthew Rosebrock officiating on Tuesday. There will be a walk thru viewing opportunity of Margaret on Monday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Unger Horner Funeral Home with no family present.
Burial will be at the Monroe Center Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
