Born Wednesday, September 25, 1946 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John Bentley Owsley and the late Rebecca Aanis Clark Owsley. Mrs. Day retired from West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital after thirty-three years of service in the Emergency Department before becoming the nurse for Dr. Ravinder Machra. She was a former member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Mrs. Day loved camping, loved the beach, loved the Great Smokey Mountains and she loved to hear her sweet husband, Devan, pick his guitar and sing to her.
Funeral services for Mrs. Day will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday November 18, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Earl Day.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-six years, Thomas Devan Day of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, Kenny Day (Georgia) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Karla Noel of Newbern, Tennessee and Darla Day of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three sisters, Linda Ticer (Bob) of Sun City, Texas, Lois Holden (Herbert) of Dover, Delaware and Ruth Earp of Dyersburg, Tennessee; she was "MeMaw" to her five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Owsley and his wife, Barbara and Eddie Owsley.
