James M. Atkins, Jr., (Jimbo) 69, passed away on Friday November 13th at the Kitty Askins Hospice House in Goldsboro, NC.

Jimbo resided at O’Berry Center for much of his life. He was surrounded by a loving, caring group of people throughout the years who took care of all his needs. The family expresses their gratitude to all the caretakers for their love and patience.

Mr. Atkins was preceded in death by his parents, Biddie and Jim Atkins.

He is survived by his sister and brother in-law, Cindy and Luther Davis, 3 nephews, Doug Davis, Josh and wife Jennifer Dais, Jim and wife Charlotte Davis, 2 great nieces, 7 great nephews and 2 great great nephews.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Sunday, November 15th at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines, NC.
