Bernice was a lifetime resident of Barton County. She was a Medical Technologist at CKMC and Clara Barton Hospital. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St Patrick Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabela, and the altar society. Her faith was very important to her. She was a foster mother for Catholic Social Service. She enjoyed baking, reading, and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her son Maurice; brothers Leo, and Gerald Schneweis; sisters Marge Hitschman, Rita Klug and Judy Nimmo.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Bryant Funeral Home, with vigil service and D of I rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2020, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend, Father Don Bedore presiding. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery. The Family requests those in attendance please wear masks and social distance.
