Randy Lee “Bear” Baker age 63 of Caldwell, OH passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. He was born September 3, 1957 in Canton, OH a son of the late Byron H. and Carolyn Morrison Baker.

He was employed in the oil field for many years working different oil rigs. He enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, raising German Shepherd dogs, and most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law Brian Mattox; nephew James Byron Rainer; father-in-law Paul M. Hensler Jr.; sisters-in-law Cindy Hensler and Tonya Redcay.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Deidere E. “Dee” Hensler Baker whom he married June 11, 1988; son Byron L. Baker of Cambridge; daughter Jessica Ewers of Zanesville; grandchildren Gracie, Alexander, Bentlee, Jenson, and Logan; 3 brothers Rick (Judy) Baker of Sharon, OH, Gary (Sharon) Baker of Caldwell, and Danny “Boone” Baker of Caldwell; 3 sisters Diana (Jim) Bohn of Zanesville, OH, Kathy Rainer of Zanesville, and Shari (Bill) Siddle of Caldwell; mother-in-law Wilma Rose Hensler of Caldwell; 2 brothers-in-law Donald Hensler of Zanesville and Kenny (Rose) Hensler of Zanesville, OH; 3 sisters-in-law Shirley (Dan) VanBuren of Gratiot, OH, Debbie Hensler-Stahr of Derwent, OH, and Linda Baker of Caldwell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, November 16, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will conclude visitation Monday at 2:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Joe Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery in Sharon, OH. (Per the Governor’s current Covid-19 guidelines, face coverings are required to attend all services, thank you for your cooperation.)
