Edward Lee Garza was born on March 31, 1952 in Billings, Montana to Alfred and Cruz Garza. He passed away suddenly at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco, California on May 6, 2016 at the age of 64.
Ed was a veteran of the United States Army. Upon completion of his duty in the military, he completed his Associates degree at Fresno City College. Ed worked for many years as a Paralegal for the Fresno County Public Defenders Office.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Garza, Stephen Garza, Timothy Garza and Patricia Garza.
Ed will be missed by his loving wife, Sophie; his parents, Alfred and Cruz Garza; his children Richard Garza, Edward "Eddie" Garza Jr., Steven Garrison and Michael Lemon; his grandchildren, Miranda, Josie Cruz, Madison, Mia, Elyse, Michael, Genesis, Kristen and Addison Rose; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Light Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at G.L. Johnson Chapel at Peoples Church on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Belmont Memorial Park.
