Patrick J. Kelley, a resident of Farmington Hills, passed from this life on October 29, 2020, at the age of 68.
Patrick was the beloved son of Barbara and the late Daniel Kelley. He was the dear brother of Barbara (David) Bushey, Timothy (the late Deborah) Kelley, Therese (Doug) Buckler, Colleen (Bob) Moreau, Noreen (Mike) Hayes, Mary (Steve) Hedin, Sharon (Jim) Karker, and the late Kathy (Dennis) Rogowski. He was the cherished uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Patrick had many careers over his lifetime. He was a carpenter, a painter, a logger, a food critic and caterer, and played AA Baseball as a catcher, pitcher, and outfielder.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and had many hobbies. Those hobbies included cribbage, pinochle, euchre, keno, and poker. He loved to go fishing, enjoyed eating good food, and liked to laugh at good jokes. Patrick loved watching Hallmark movies and good Western movies, especially the ones featuring The "Duke" (a.k.a. John Wayne). His other favorite movies were Boys Town and White Christmas. Patrick was an avid reader.
Visitation for Patrick will be held at the L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, Northrop-Sassaman Chapel, 19091 Northville Road (at 7 Mile Rd.) on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of his Service at 4:00 p.m.
