He was a heavy equipment operator most of his life and he retired in 2003. He enjoyed traveling most of the lower 48 states along with many of the National Parks. He also loved his family and friends. He treasured fishing with his good friend, Bob, a lot. In his free time he also fixed many lawn mowers and weed eaters for people. He had a natural flare for wood working.
He leaves behind his wife Carol Joyce, children: Melissa Eskew, Mike Wimmer (Renee), Stephanie (Jeff) Mound, Kelly Greene (Wayne Martin) and George Penrod (Rita Penrod); grandchildren: Joshua (Maranda), Caleb, Aaron, Michael, Kyle, Tyler, Chris, Parker, Elijah, Gretchen, Allie (Brandon), Tony (Mandy), Katie, Vincent (LeeAnne) and Justin; great grandchildren: Linley, Luna, Kendra, McKenzie, Myla, Avery, Finley Jasmin, Jase, Teigan, Dre, Vash, Gabby and Allee; brothers and sisters: Delbert (Rita) Wimmer, Mary Frye, Margaret (Donald) Bryan, Ann Smith and Valerie Schlote, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Tim Penrod.
A graveside service will be held at 11: 00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Sunrise Cemetery in Montgomery, Missouri.
