Mrs. Nora Hawkins Shouse, 65, Louisville, died Sunday, July 16, 1995 at Norton's Hospital in Louisville. Born December 27, 1929 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Lena Davis Hawkins. She was a retired census bureau supervisor with the Federal government. She was a member of the Valley Christian Church, Louisville, and a 1947 graduate of Harrodsburg High School. Survivors include: her husband, Stewart Shouse; three sons, Thomas Lee Young and Stewart Shouse II both of Jeffersonville, IN and William R. Young, Louisville; two daughters, Donna L. Young, Louisville and Linda Boaz, New Albany, IN; two brothers, John H. Hawkins, Louisville, Lee V. Hawkins, Lawrenceburg; one sister, Mary Allen Hughes, Lawrenceburg; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Shouse were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg, with Bro. Dale Parrish and Bro. James Carroll Robinson officiating. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
