After a year-long battle with cancer, Wayne Martin Morrison passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3rd in his home in Freeport, FL. He was 71 years old and is survived by his wife, four daughters Marie Morrison, Dawn Kincaid, Cindy Giordano, and Amanda Morrison, and his four grandchildren Mia Garcia, Gabby Huffman, Jayden Morrow, Memphis Kincaid, his brothers Rodney & James Morison. Wayne was a native of Virginia but most of his life had been spent traveling the world. He had decided early on that serving his country was his calling. And serve he did. Wayne was a decorated veteran who gave 26 years to the Air Force before retiring in 1993. Even after retiring, Wayne wasn't ready to live the easy life. He continued using the skills he acquired in the military to assist companies like McDonnel Douglas, Boeing and others overseas in their continued efforts to support and defend our nation's interests. He did this for an additional 14 years before finally retiring again. This time for a far more important reason: to be there for his family. Wayne was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Family functions were not his favorite, but they were still special to him, and he always made time for everyone. He loved his grandchildren. He LOVED his games. He was an avid collector of coins, books, and movies. He was meticulous, and much like everything in his life, Wayne took great care of everything and everyone. He will be missed. For those who had the pleasure of knowing Wayne, we invite you to join us as we say goodbye to a wonderful man. We look forward to remembering his life.
