Keith Allan Pearson was born in Great Bend, Kansas on October 4, 1944. His early years were spent in Rozel, where in the 3rd grade he was a junior drum major, leading the marching band with great pride.
The next year, he moved with his family to a farm near Rock, KS. In May, 1955, the farm buildings sustained major damage from the Udall tornado while Keith's sister pulled him to safety under the cellar door.
The family moved to Arkansas City where they remained while his mother finished a B.A. at Southwestern College in Winfield. She and Wilma Robinson graduated together in the summer of 1962.
Keith's life was about to change again, as they moved to Hutchinson, where he graduated from high school. He attended Sid's Beauty Academy in Lawrence, KS. And in 1968, he came to Smith Center where he worked as a hairdresser and barber for almost 40 years. He was active in the Smith County Arts Council, the city council, Lions Club and church.
On February 22, 1969 he married Wilma (Robinson) Abbott and they raised three children He is predeceased by his parents, Otto and Lola (Mullen) Pearson and one sister, Delma Jean Pearson. Surviving him are his wife, Wilma (Robinson) Pearson, of the home, one brother, O. Gavin (Ruth) Pearson of Renton, WA, a step-son Roger W. (Laura) Abbott of Kansas City, KS, son, Eric (Karen) Pearson of Phoenix and daughter, Melanie K. (Christopher) Raabe of Omaha, four granddaughters, a niece and two nephews.

Keith departed this life on November 11, 2020. His life will be celebrated next spring, along with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center, KS.

Celebration of Keith's Life: 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, Smith Center, KS. There will not be a public visitation as cremation was chosen.
