Kim was an army Veteran serving from 1978-1984. While in the army she was a Supervisor and Service commander while stationed in Europe and was a US Petroleum Supply Specialist in St. Louis Mo. for 4 years. Kim received the Good conduct Metal and Army Service Ribbon.
She is survived by her mother, Wilma Carter Clifton, NJ, 3 brothers: Harvey Carter Jr. Clifton NJ, Brian K. Carter District Hgts, Md., Elliott Carter Teaneck, NJ, 2 Sisters in Law: Rhonda Carter Clifton, NJ, Sabrina Carter Teaneck, NJ, Nephews: Alexander Carter, Shaheem May, Brian Carter Jr, Joshua Carter, 4 Nieces: Andrea Sims, Melody Sims Carter, Tiara Giles, Taylor Carter, 3 great nephews: Shaheem May , Austin Archie, and Zayvion May.
