Funeral services will be held 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17, for Jason Charles Wilson, 36, of Austintown, who passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018.

Jason was born April 18, 1982, in Youngstown, the son of the late Charles Wilson and Cathleen Gagliardi.

He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, class of 2000 where he played football and baseball.

He was the recipient of the Promsberger Award at the high school in 2000.

Jason was currently a student in the welding program at Flying High. He had also been a manager for Cingular in Wisconsin and a district manager for Mosaic Cellular in southern Ohio and Kentucky.

He loved snowboarding and worked at Winter Park Ski Resort after graduation from Fitch in 2000.

He attended Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church and was active with the Mahoning Valley Rescue Mission.

Jason was a friend to all and would do all he could to help anyone in need. Besides his love of snowboarding, his other hobbies included bowling, riding his 4-wheeler, cooking and working with his hands. Jason was very athletic and was a staunch Michigan Wolverine fan.

Besides his mother of Austintown, Jason is survived by a son and the center of his world, Vance; a daughter, Ryane; a brother, Mark and a sister, Christine and her husband, Sean; as well as the mother of his children, Jeny Esenwein and his girlfriend, Jill Hetmanski. He also leaves his niece and nephews, Eric, Danielle Alex and Gabriel; his Godfather/uncle, Carl Gagliardi and his special aunt, Paula (Ken) Horvath and aunts, Marina Clicquennoi and Cathy Laine Gagliardi.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Charles, both sets of grandparents and one uncle, Leonard Gagliardi.

Friends may call from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel where services will begin at 5:00 p.m.
