Richard was born November 26, 1955 in Columbus, Georgia. He loved boating and fishing. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Auburn fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Watkins and mother, Patricia Watkins.
Those left to cherish Richard’s memory include his life partner of 37 years, Lyra B. Watkins; brothers, Hal Watkins, Jr. (wife Donna) and Bobby Watkins (wife Paula); many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Friday, November 20, 2020 at Heritage Shores Funeral Home.
