Roberta Ann “Bertie” Ferguson, 74, of New Castle, IN, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital, New Castle, IN.
Born July 24, 1946, in New Castle, IN to the late Robert and Minnie “Joann” Goldy McDaniel.
Bertie was a cook for the VFW and was previously employed at the Best Western in New Castle, IN. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and was a founding member of the OWC Club. She enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to country music, and caring for her son, Steve. The family was very important to her and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include 4 children, Lesa A. Agee, Brad (Amanda) Agee, and Stephen E. Agee, all of New Castle, IN and Misty (Wally) Copher of Salt Lick, KY, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way, siblings, Nona Haywood, David (Marsha) McDaniel, and Barbara Fudge, all of New Castle, IN and Tina (Kyle) Webb of Greensfork, IN, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, including Judy and Ed Jones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Ferguson, 2 grandchildren, Jessica Copher and Jordon Ralston, siblings, Terry McDaniel, Sonja Baker, and Debbie Craig.
Services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 6:00 PM at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, IN. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service.
A graveside committal service will be Monday, November 16, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Jones Cemetery, Salt Lick, KY with local arrangements under the care of Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY.
