William H. Reinarts Sr., of 3941 West Sixth St., Goodview, died Thursday, September 1, 2005, at Lake Winona Manor. Bill was born in Winona on September 21, 1920, the son of John and Alvina (Griese) Reinarts.
He was united in marriage to Rebecca J. Davis on October 25, 1946, at St. Thomas Pro-Cathedral in Winona. Bill is a World War II veteran serving in the US Army from Sept. 1942 to Jan. 1946.

Bill founded Reinarts Stained Glass Studio in 1950 and owned and operated it until retiring in 1998. He brought a lot of beauty to the world with his stained glass window creations throughout the world, including the Pope's Chapel in Jerusalem.

Bill is a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart; American Legion Post #9, Winona; Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #327, Winona and Knights of Columbus, Council #639 of Winona.

Bill is survived by his wife, Rebecca J.; sons, William (Randi) Reinarts Jr., Winona; John (Char) Reinarts, Ogden, UT; James Reinarts, Buffalo City, WI; Thomas (Robin) Reinarts, Merritt Island, FL; and Paul (Jennifer) Reinarts, Winona; daughters, Rebecca Richer, San Gabriel, CA; Deborah (Edward) Cazzola, Albuquerque, NM; Christine Reinarts, Whittier, CA; Mary (Curtis) Cain, Denver, CO; and Julie Alberti, Albuquerque, NM, and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John and Robert, and two sisters, Florence Sipple and Mary Reinarts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Winona, Rev. John M. Sauer officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Winona, where members of American Legion Post #9 will conduct military burial rites.

Friends may call at the Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 5, from 7:00-9:00 PM, where there will be a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Friends may also call on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Cathedral.

Casket bearers will be Steven Paulson, Mark Cisewski and his sons, Bill Jr., Thomas, Paul, James and John Reinarts.

Honorary bearers will be Max Bunn, Donald Blake, Wilfred Snyder, John Sullivan, Paul Tushner, John Tlougan and Ben Schultz.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Lake Winona Manor at Winona Health.
