Ralph Romelia Stephens, Jr. “Junior”, 76, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 9:13 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2020 in his residence with his family by his side.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 in Glenwood Cemetery (Section B) with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Shelbyville Boys Baseball and mailed to: Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Junior was born on October 21, 1944, the son of Ralph Romelia Stephens, Sr. and Bonnie Marie (West) Stephens. He attended Shelbyville High School, graduating in the class of 1962. He married Linda Nelle Williams on July 1, 1964. Junior worked for the Mueller Company in Decatur, Shelby Sheet Metal in Shelbyville and retired from Shelby Memorial Hospital. He was a former member of the Shelbyville Jaycees, Jackson Masonic Lodge #53 of Shelbyville, and the Shelbyville Merchants Fast Pitch Softball Team. Junior enjoyed family gatherings, genealogy, gambling and coaching little league baseball.

Junior is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Tina Marie Koprek (Dalton) of Decatur, IL; sons, Stacey Aaron Stephens, and Nicholas Andrew Stephens (Alison) all of Shelbyville, IL; brothers, Ronald “Clem” Stephens (Pat) of Shelbyville, IL and Darrell Stephens (Vicki) of Shelbyville, IL; 7 grandchildren, Kourtney Phegley, Brittney Bradley (Quinton), Seth Stephens, Christian Crabill, Lane Stephens, Lucas Stephens and Levi Stephens; and one great grandson, Easton Bradley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Larry Stephens.
