COEBURN, VIRGINIA – Linda Booher Cochran, 69, was called home by her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 9, 2020, at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
She was born on January 1, 1951, in St. Paul, Virginia; daughter of the late George and Mary Booher. She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Mark, nephew, Brian Turner, and father and mother-in-law, Walter and Onie Cochran.
Linda attended Riverview Pentecostal Church in Coeburn, Virginia, and was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She loved her family dearly and wanted the best for each of them. Linda always encouraged her daughter, Becky, to pursue her dreams and even enrolled in several college courses with Becky to show her support. She made a great effort to call her family members on a daily basis just to check in, phone calls which will be sorely missed. We rejoice in knowing she is with her Heavenly Father.
Linda is survived by her sweetheart of forty-five years, Fred Cochran; her daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Cochran of Coeburn, Virginia; three brothers, Dennie Booher and wife, Mary of St. Paul, Virginia, Rick Booher and wife, Trecia of Trinity, North Carolina, and Larry Booher and wife, Kathy of St. Paul, Virginia; five sisters, Regina Turner and husband, Junior of St. Paul, Virginia, Elizabeth Lawson and husband, Donnie of St. Paul, Virginia, Nina Phillips and husband, Ricky of St. Paul, Virginia, Judy Culbertson and husband, Farrell of Dante, Virginia, and Michelle Mullins of Dante, Virginia; one brother-in-law, Gene Cochran and wife, Toni of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, a Graveside Service and Interment for Linda Booher Cochran will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2020, at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Mike Lawson officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Online condolences may be sent to the Cochran family through our website at www.castlewoodfuneralhome.com. Castlewood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
