Josh was a kind-hearted and loving husband and father. He was a die-hard TN Volunteers football fan and never missed a game. He loved to read and he loved to cut up with people and make jokes. He was just an all-around great guy who will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather R.H. Newton; and aunt, Stacy Gillenwater of Rogersville.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Evans Newton of the home; two sons, Caleb Allen Eaton and Grayson Parker Newton; mother, Connie Gillenwater Bailey and stepfather, Jackie Glenn Bailey; father, Richard Dallas Newton; maternal grandparents, Mack and Mattie Gillenwater; paternal grandmother, Barbara Newton; stepsister, Christine Bailey Goodman and husband, Jason Goodman; and nieces, Kylie and Allie Goodman; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; his faithful dog, Loki; and special friend, David Evans.
The family will receive friends at Henard's Chapel Baptist Church in Rogersville from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2020.
