She was born September 2, 1934 in Seneca County, OH to Benjamin F. and Maxine T. (Risner) Puckett. She married Herbert E. Hendricks on September 5, 1954 in Fostoria. Herbert preceded her in death on October 31, 2009.
Surviving are sisters in-law: Sandra Winn of Portland, MI, Alice Hendricks of Vanlue and Juanita Carr of Fostoria; a brother, Garry L. Puckett of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and a brother, Glenn Puckett.
Evelyn graduated from Vanlue High School in 1952. She went from school to RCA/GE/Harris Corp retiring in 1995 after 42 plus years of service. She didn't miss work, but did miss her co-workers. To say she was an avid bowler would be an understatement. She bowled in four different leagues at the same time. Evelyn enjoyed cross stitching, doing crossword, jigsaw puzzles and crafts of all sorts.
She was a member of Vanlue Community Church for many years.
Friends will be received 10 - 11am on Friday, November 13, 2020 at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME in Carey. It will be required to wear a mask and social distance on Friday.
Evelyn's funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the funeral home with Rev. Melanie Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Bloom Cemetery near Vanlue.
