She was born September 29, 1983 to Ricky and Cheryl (Gray) Jones.
She was of the Methodist faith and was a graduate of Frontenac high school, class of 2002. Amy attended college at Missouri Southern State University where she earned a degree in criminal justice. She was the first female officer in Frontenac and was a volunteer firefighter. Amy loved her daughter Maggie Ann, dogs and sports.
Survivors include her 5 week old daughter; Maggie Ann, parents; Ricky and Cheryl Jones of Frontenac, Kansas, maternal grandmother; Marilyn Gray of Pittsburg, KS and several aunts & uncles
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather; Donald Gray, paternal grandmother; Betty Cox and paternal grandfather; Dan Cox.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Frontenac City Cemetery in Frontenac, Kansas.
An informal visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Friskel Funeral Home. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship fund for Maggie Ann. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to the Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E. McKay Frontenac, KS 66763
