Samuel Nathanieal Scott passed away on November 2nd 2020 in his home after several
months of fighting cancer. Sam was preceded in death by his Mother Opal L. Scott, Father Sam
B. Scott, brother Gerald D. Scott, Mother in Law Oma L. Mandrell and great granddaughter
Emory Dawn McCarrell.
Sam is Survived by his Wife, Sue Scott, his children: Tamie S. Wynn and Samuel N. Scott II. His
grandchildren: Ethan and Josie Foust, Arianne and Trey McCarrell, Dalton Crownover, Devan
Foust and Reyna Grotton, Jordan Wynn and Taylor Lile and Tanya Ransome (adopted
daughter). His Great grandchildren: Bella Butler, Lillie Butler, Rhyne McCarrell, Jalayla Foust,
and Jamie Wynn. His youngest brother Jonathon M. Scott and Lucinda Francis. Brother in Law
Jeff Stanley Mandrell and Debbie. His special friends Ronnie and Rita Ek. Sam has numerous
nieces, nephews and friends he considered family.
Sam was born March 12th 1948 in Eufaula, OK. He was married on his 18th birthday to his
wife, Susan (Mandrell) Scott and was married for over 54 years . Sam and Sue had lived in
several places while they started their family. They settled Outside of Dibble, OK in 1986.
Sam enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, deer hunting, time on his tractor, helping his
friends and family, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandkids. Anyone who knew
Sam knew his favorite chair at the County Line Cafe and he enjoyed shootin the breeze with
good friends.
Sam could almost be described as a jack of all trades, except he had mastered them as well.
Throughout his life, Sam held many professions, starting at the age of 12. He built fences, built
trailers, drove a truck, an electrician and later a pipeline inspector before his retirement.
Countless construction and repair projects and trades. He even built a couple of houses.
Sam was a brilliant man capable of incredible effort and resilience. He had an unshakeable
work ethic and selfless attitude towards providing for his family and his friends. Once made
aware of his condition, He made a point that no one was to know or treat him any different. As
well, in accordance with his wishes there will not be a funeral service. Sam’s family would like
to thank Pastor Lewis Cox, Mike and Tommy with Eisenhour Funeral Home as well as all his
friends and neighbors for all of their support. Sam’s family would ask of his friends and
acquaintances to remember Sam as he was, A selfless hardworking man who drew a big circle
and provided for everyone within.
The void Sam has left behind is beyond words but he will forever be loved and missed dearly.
