Funeral services for Sondra "Sandy" Arnold 71 of Montalba, will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Clay Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.
Mrs. Arnold passed away Friday at her residence. She was born April 17, 1940 in Henrietta, Tx., to J.T. Murphy and Dorothy "Dot" Carr Murphy. She worked for TDCJ as a switchboard operator and was also a hairdresser. Mrs. Arnold liked animals and enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and especially taking trips with Aunt Georgia. She was a devoted Christian, dedicated friend and loving mother, always willing to share the word of God and lend a helping hand.
Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob Arnold and brothers Jimmy and Don Murphy. She is survived by daughters Tonya Chapman and husband Jerry, Kim McWilliams and husband Anthony and Kellie Gatewood and husband Grady, son Cody Veach and wife Tammie, step-son Clay Arnold and wife Sonya, fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and her dog Skipper.
Pallbearers will be Josh Gatewood, Corey Veach, Chancy Veach, Rob Pickle, Josh Cheek, Adam Burke, Anthony McWilliams, Grady Gatewood, David Kossey, Jacob Gatewood, Sam Dorman and Jake Ganter.
