Mark Lothrop died at the Lothrop home, next door to the L.D.S. Chapel, last night of typhoid fever, having been sick about three weeks. The funeral will be held at the chapel at 2 o'clock today, Elder H. S. Lytle officiating. Mark was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lothrop, and was born April 15th 1881, near this city. He served six years in the U. S. Army, two years of which was spent in the Philippines. Besides his father and mother he leaves four brothers, Claire, Ashley, Grant and Norman, and one sister, Mrs. J. W. Harden, of Napier, Tenn. He was a quiet hard working young man of good habits and bore a good reputation, which fact will always be a comfort to his parents, brothers and sister and friends.
