LEWISTON, MAINE- Barbara C. Bovidge, 74, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on November 1, 2020 with family by her side in Lewiston, Maine. She was born on September 23, 1946 to George and Doris Chandler. Barbara was a graduate of Bloomsburg University and received a degree in Education. She worked as a teacher in the Elizabeth Forward School System in Elizabeth Township, PA, for some time. Barbara also worked at the Allegheny Insurance Agency in McKeesport, PA. She was previously an active member in the McKeesport American Legion and active in a local Bowling League. Barbara enjoyed many things such as teaching, playing basketball on Varsity team in high school and college, spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as spending as much time as possible at the family cottage in Harpswell, ME. Barbara is survived by a daughter, Laurie L. Campbell of Pittsburgh; son, Michael, and wife, Stephanie Bovidge, of Huntersville, NC; brothers, Richard Chandler of Camden, ME, and J. Grandville and wife, Mary Chandler, of Lewiston, ME; and sister, Carol, and husband, Roberto Borda, of Yarmouth, ME. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Alexandria Bovidge of Columbia, SC, Nathian Bovidge of Hayes, VA, Christina Campbell and Chase Campbell of Pittsburgh, PA. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Alex M. Bovidge, Sr.; brother, George (Skip) Chandler; Priscilla (Penny) Wendell; and son-in-law, William (Bill) Campbell. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
