Foster – Dickie Foster, age 66, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away on November 9, 2020 on his mother's birthday at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 25, 1954 to the late Ricard Foster and Floy Lee Johnson Foster. Dickie was raised in Baker County and relocated to Jacksonville as a teenager. He graduated from Forest High School in 1972 and shortly after met the love of his life, Debra Yvonne Akridge. Dickie and Debra were happily married on June 8, 1973. He was devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, and friend who loved his family dearly. In 1975, Dickie and Debra moved back to Baker County. Dickie was passionate about his longtime career as a Master Plumber. He was the owner and operator of Dickie's Plumbing for many years and enjoyed serving families in his community. He was an avid Gator and NASCAR fan who enjoyed spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, but more than anything, Dickie loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Mark Taylor. Dickie is survived by his loving bride of 48 years, Debbie Foster of Glen St. Mary, FL; his children, Melissa Taylor and Robert Foster both of Glen St. Mary, FL; his sister, Nancy (Robert) Sikes of Macclenny, FL; his grandchildren, Morrissa (Brant) Fish, Masey Taylor, Lani Foster, Gavan Foster, Markayla Taylor, and Case Foster; and great grandchildren, Emmie, Foster, and Owen. A Celebration of Dickie's Life will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Taylor Church with Pastor Mark Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Sanderson, FL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services Chapel.
