She worked as an Aide for Cedars Nursing Home in Charlottesville, and Avante (now Accordius) in Waynesboro. She also worked for Mortens in Crozet, Purdue, and Penny Plate.
On October 8, 1982 she married Edward “Micky” Shaver, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Peggy is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Shaver and Travis Willis of Meadows of Dan, VA; a sister, Lilly Gibson of Waynesboro; one brother, Joseph Kestner of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, Isabella Shaver, Travis Junior Willis, Ernest Willis; Amber Holloway who was like a daughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Wayne Castle; and four brothers, Ernest, Steven, Robert, and Irvin Kestner Jr.
All services will be held privately and at a later date.
