Edith Mae James, age 101, of Highfill, Ark., died Jan. 3, 2022, in her home. She was born March 20, 1920, to John Taylor and Bessie Lovell. Edith enjoyed taking care of the home and farming. She served her community on the Highfill City Council for many years.

Edith is preceded in death by her parents, husband Odell James, and son Jerry Dell James. She is survived by grandchildren Fred (Wanda) of Bella Vista, Ark., Jason (Janet) of Highfill, Ark., and Marquetta Lucas (Rusty) of Grove, Okla., great-grandchildren Melissa Cox, Stacy Jordan, Jessica Petrino, Jared James, Levi Taylor, Lacey Ransom, Sultana DeMoss, and Brionna VanPielt, 19 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Fri., Jan. 7, 2022, at Wasson Funeral Home, Hwy. 412, Siloam Springs, Ark. The funeral will be at the same location at 2 pm Sat., Jan. 8, 2022. Burial will be at Highfill [Ark.] Cemetery. Online guestbook: www.wassonfuneralhome.com.
