Jerry was born in Chapmanville, West Virginia and he was the son of the late Pauline Joan Whytsell Overstreet and Donald Gardner Overstreet. His wife, Betty R. Overstreet also preceded him in death.
Jerry was retired from Olin Chemical Corp. with over 40 years of service. After retirement, he worked as a security guard at Bradley Square Mall. He was also a U. S. Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed playing games on his computer and watching movies. Jerry was of the Methodist Faith.
Survivors include his sons, Tony Overstreet and his wife Jan, Brian Overstreet and his wife Sam all of Cleveland, his grandchildren, Andy Overstreet and his wife Sally, Zach Overstreet, Daniel Griffith and Kayla Griffith, his great grandchildren, Gavin Overstreet and Kaitlyn Overstreet, his brothers, Robert M. Overstreet and his wife Carol of Hernando, Mississippi, Dr. Michael Overstreet and his wife Linda of Virginia Beach, Virginia and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The Remembrance of Life Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 4:00 P. M. at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Scott Martin officiating. Family and friends will serve as casket bearers. The Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
