Raymond E. Collins age 69 of Dixon, KY formally of Henshaw Community died Sunday 11/8/2020 at his residence in Dixon. He was born October 11, 1951 to the late George Noel & Doraine Pigman Collins in Sturgis, KY.
He was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church. He was a coal miner & a farmer and a veteran who served in US Army during the Vietnam war. Raymond was a hard-working devoted father, brother, uncle and Pa-paw. He was in the graduating class of 1969 at Webster County High School.
He is preceded in death by his parents George Noel & Doraine “Buggs” Collins and a brother George Noel Collins Jr. His wife in Miok K. Collins in 1997.
Survivors include: Daughter’s Nita Cowan & husband Jamie of Morganfield, KY, Sabrina Ramage & husband Jarrod of Madisonville, KY, Sister’s Darlene Duncan, Peggy Vondrasek, Donna Martini, Gladys Collins, and Brenda Belt, 6 – Grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2:30 PM on Friday 11/13/20 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. Rev Sane O’ Guin will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday 11/12/20 from 4PM-8PM and Friday 12 PM noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Old Bethel Cemetery in Sturgis; KY.
