Rites Held For Mrs Eli Perkins
Funeral services for Mrs Sarah Louise Perkins of Prescott, former Wickenburg resident,
were held in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Prescott Thursday morning. Burial
was in the Pioneers Cemetery in that city.
Mrs Perkins, the mother of W. E. (Bill) Craig, died in the Arizona Pioneers Home in
Prescott last Saturday. She was 87 years old.
A native of New Mexico, Mrs Perkins came to Arizona with her parents when she was about a
year old. The family resided in Holbrook where Mrs Perkins married Dr Sidney Craig,
prominent physician. After Dr. Craig's death, she married Eli Perkins, former owner of
the Wickenburg Miner, who died last September.
Surviving are five sons: w. B. Craig of Wickenburg, Sidney Craig of Los Altos, Calif.,
John Perkins of Phoenix, Brodie Perkins of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Fred Perkins of
Prescott; 20 grandchildren, including John and Charles Craig of Wickenburg; and 15
great-grandchildren.
