TREVA AMENT DIED TUESDAY
After a long hard fight with an infection of lung and heart following an operation for removal of tonsils, Treva Grace Ament succumbed to the grim reaper, death, Tuesday morning at the Delta hospital. Her life had been despaired of for some time, but some encouraging symptoms were apparent the latter part of last week and new hope was entertained. However, a turn for worse set in Monday and the end came quickly. Treva Grace Ament was born at Wayside, Kansas, March 24, 1907. At the age of one month she came with her parents to Sugar City, Colorado. From this place the family moved to Cedaredge in 1914. She was graduated from Cedaredge High School in the class of 1925, and from the Hoel-Ross Business College August 1, 1920. She leaves to mourn her departure her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ament; four brothers, Clifford, Clinton, Glenn and Forrest, all of Cedaredge; two sister, Mrs. Iva Youngblood of Delta and Mrs. Urgal Benson of Cedaredge. There are in addition, three nieces, other relatives and many, many friends. She died at Delta, Colorado, May 8, 1928, aged 21 years, 1 month, 14 days. Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the Community church conducted by Rev. Dryden. Pall bearers and flowers bearers were chosen afar as possible from her graduating class as follows: pall bearers, Welland State. David Eckert. Phillip Aust, Ralph Wick, Howard Sherd and Marion Mills. Flower bearers, Zella Gorsuch, Mable Lewis. Edith Eckert, Ethel Robinson, Marie Bowness and Zenda Sawyer. A quartette of girls; Dena Te Groutenhius, Ada Brewer, Dorothy Cuthbert and Marie Bowness sang several selections. She was laid to rest in Cedaredge cemetery.
