Charles F. Terry, age 85, of Mechanicsville, formally of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020, at his daughter's home in rural Mechanicsville, Iowa.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all who plan to attend the visitation and services are asked to wear a mask and exercise social distancing with groups.

Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 13, at Bentley Funeral Home in Wilton.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 13, at Bentley Funeral Home in Wilton. Burial will be in the Lisbon Cemetery, Lisbon, Iowa.

Charles Franklin Terry was born February 15, 1935, in Charleston, West Virginia, the son of H.G. and Opal (Beard) Terry. He graduated from St. Albans High School in West Virginia in 1953. He later graduated from West Virginia Tech. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Policeman. He married Patricia Ann Taylor on April 15, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois. He was employed as a Salesman for DuPont de Nemours, Inc., for thirty five years, until he retired. In his younger years, he enjoyed coaching his children in baseball and softball. He was a member of the Elk's Club and loved playing golf, earning a total of three "Hole in Ones". He treasured his annual trips with his family to Destin, Florida. He also enjoyed watching West Virginia football and basketball and betting on horse and dog racing.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia; one daughter, Krissy Kleppe of Mechanicsville; two sons, Greg Terry of Brandon, MS, and Alan Terry of Brandon, MS; four grandsons, Andrew and Kevin Terry and King and Prince Kleppe; one sister, Jean Hunt; and one brother, Tom (Faith) Terry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son-in-law, Carl A. Kleppe, Jr., one brother, Bob Terry and one sister, Virginia Banister.
