Carlene Jones (nee Mayberry), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at the age of 77. Loving wife of Billy E. Jones; beloved daughter of the late Troy and Edna Mayberry; devoted mother of Angelia (Mario) Anselmo; cherished grandmother of Aaron (Brandi) Aubuchon, Cody Aubuchon, and Nick (Paige Taylor) Anselmo; dear sister of Eldon "Sonny" (Diane) Mayberry; treasured great-grandmother of Nevaeh Brooklyn, Baylee, Aamillia, and Aarian.

Carlene and Billy were married 59 years and would have celebrated 60 years in May. A natural caregiver, she was a mom and grandma to everybody, and a “Mema” to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carlene was a longtime member of the Charbo and Karen Church of Christ, where she was very actively involved. Carlene also served as “room mother” throughout her daughter’s growing up years, and attended every one of her daughter and grandchildren's events growing up. Carlene loved to spend time in her garden, tending her beautiful flowers, and she was extremely gifted at baking - her cookies, pies, and chicken and dumplings were loved by all. She was especially known for her "popcorn balls" that she made every Halloween. Carlene was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made in Carlene's honor to the St. Louis Zoo.
