George A. Stephens, 62, of Baltimore, Md and formerly of Gretna, passed away November 5, 2020, at the Bel Air Health Center in Bel Air, Md. Born June, 26, 1958 in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of Percy M. "Kent" and Lucille R. Stephens. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was educated in the Pittsylvania County School System and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his three sons, Michael A. Cosby (Yvette), Duane A. Stephens (Caroline) and Timothy A. Stephens (Santania); two daughters, Latelia Harris (Travis) and Crystal Childress (Will); two sisters, Ernestine Boyce (Ramsey) and Drucilla Pritchett; a brother Timothy Stephens (Cynthia); a host of other relatives.
Burial will be in the Smithfield Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
